English version below

The companies Alstom and Alstom transport lodge an appeal to the Court of Session against the
ruling of the Court of Appeal of Versailles confirming the jurisdiction of the Tribunal of Nanterre
in the court case launched by AFPS against Véolia Transport, Alstom et Alstom Transport
regarding the construction and operation of a light railway in the West Bank
Following the admissibility ruling handed down on the 15th of April 2009 by the High Court of
Nanterre, accepting jurisdiction over the claims commenced by AFPS against Véolia Transport,
Alstom and Alstom Transport (see AFPS press release of the 2nd of December 2009 :
http://www.france-palestine.org/art..., the companies Alstom et Alstom Transport
contested this ruling in front of the Court of Appeal of Versailles asking for the invalidation of the
ruling of the Court of Nanterre.

The court of Appeal of Versailles handed down its ruling on the 17th of December 2009 (see AFPS
press release of the 22nd of December 2009 :
http://www.france-palestine.org/art....
The decision follows the line of arguments of our lawyers and satisfies us.

The Court of Appeal of Versailles confirms the ruling of the High Court of
Nanterre regarding its jurisdiction on the case.
Nevertheless, the companies Alstom and Alstom transport lodge an appeal in
front of the Court of cassation against the ruling of the Court of Appeal
of Versailles. But it does not stop the effects of the ruling of the Court
of Appeal.

Along with their challenge of the court competence, the firms Alstom et
Alstom transport had appealed against the Nanterre ruling.
Our lawyers made a procedural incident so that this appeal should be
declared inadmissible. This request was satisfied in an edict on the 4th of
February 2010.

In these conditions, the case will now return to the High Court of Nanterre
which will judge the substance of the case at last.
AFPS will publicize further useful information on the continuation of the
proceedings.
